Drawings on Clay is a unique art form which combines the skills of drawing and ceramics.  The original designs are incised on earthenware when the piece is bone dry.  Since she put her hands in clay for the first time in 1991, Marsha McCarthy's work has evolved rapidly into a sophisticated art form that dramatically blends drawing, poetry and pottery.  She draws her inspiration from myths, modern philosophers, poets, personal growth and her own thoughts and words on life and this wonderful Earth.  Marsha is a graduate of Boston's Museum School of Fine Arts where she studied painting.  Her works are offered as framed limited and open edition tiles, vessels, plaques, boxes and ornaments.
