David Brega David Brega, a native of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, is widely-recognized as one of today's premier Trompe Poeil and still life painters in America and abroad. He studied under the tutelage of Ken Davies at the Paier College of Art in New Haven, Connecticut, and later continued his studies at the San Francisco Art Institute. David's work has been represented in numerous group and one-man shows. Most notably were his two one-man shows in 1986 and 1991 at the Alexander Gallery in New York City. His paintings have also appeared on eight covers of Yankee Magazine and several prominent book jackets. A 25-year retrospective of David's work is scheduled to open at the Springfield Museum of Fine Arts, Springfield, Massachusetts, in September of 2000. The show sill travel to the Albrecht Kemper Museum in St. Joseph, Missouri in March, 2001. David continues to paint in his studios in North Marshfield, Massachusetts, where he has for the past 20 years.
